We are thrilled to announce that Caldera Lab has joined 1% for the Planet, a global network of businesses, nonprofits, and individuals dedicated to creating a healthier planet. As a sustainable-minded skincare company, we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and supporting causes that promote environmental conservation and sustainability.

Founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, 1% for the Planet has grown to include over 3,000 members in more than 60 countries. Its mission is to inspire businesses to be a driving force for positive environmental change by committing to donate at least 1% of their sales to environmental causes.

Chouinard explained his motivation for starting the organization by saying, "I was just fed up with seeing environmental groups always asking for money from businesses and not giving them anything in return. I figured that businesses have a responsibility to the environment that sustains them, and I wanted to create a model where businesses could actually give something back."

As a member of 1% for the Planet, we will donate 1% of its annual sales to environmental causes, such as climate action, land conservation, wildlife preservation, and plastic pollution reduction. We are proud to be part of this global movement and believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on our planet.

Joining 1% for the Planet is a natural fit for us, as we have already taken steps to reduce our environmental impact. For example, we use eco-friendly packaging materials and source ingredients from sustainable suppliers. By donating a portion of our sales to environmental causes, we are taking our commitment to sustainability even further.
