Unlike other shaving creams, a lot of water is not needed for The Smooth to work. This serum should work best using slightly damp hands and applying to a dry face. It may also be applied with a shaving brush. A little goes a long way.

While this depends heavily on both shaving frequency as well as hair length when shaving a bottle of The Smooth will last an average person shaving 3-4 times per week about 30-40 days. If you shave less frequently it will last much longer.

"The Smooth is another great product from Caldera Labs and offers an elevated shaving experience which compliments their other products. The gel covers the shaving area with a thin film, which seems to balance quite well offering sufficient lubrication to the skin to avoid nicks, cuts and abrasions from the blade, whilst just being thin enough to not obscure the shave, so you can see what you're actually shaving. If I was being super critical, I would say the gel could possibly be refined to be slightly richer, for a lightly more luxurious feel, but it is still gives one of the best shaves out there, outperforming specialist premium "barbershop" creams and gels and a little goes a long way. It should also be noted (and appreciated) that due to customer feedback Caldera Labs increased the size of the container without increasing the price, which was a nice and welcome gesture."

Q&A

Can this product be used with electric razors?: Hi David, The Smooth was designed and tested with blade razor shaving in mind, but it is possible to use it with an electric razor. Critically, it would need to be a waterproof wet/dry electric razor- it would hazardous to use with a conventional electric razor.
After shave recommendations? I was gifted Savage by Dior for Christmas: Hi Jason, thanks for your question. While we do not offer a specific aftershave at this time, The Base Layer or The Good are both wonderful options to use post shaving, as they support the skin's microbiome and help to balance the skin’s barrier function!
I recently received my initial regime box, minus the deep mask I ordered seperately before adding it to my 60day membership. I would like to know do you have eye cream samples? I took a picture of day 1 and I am excited to watch the progress after 30 to 60 days is up. So far I like the feel and smell of the clean slate and the good.
