Cleansing and clarifying is the primary function of a cleanser. It’s the very least a cleanser should do. The Clean Slate cleanses your skin differently.
Rather than using sulfates or skin-stripping ingredients, we use plant extracts and oil to gently remove dirt and debris from the surface of the skin without negatively impacting its natural balance, such as the following:

Fireweed is the star ingredient of The Clean State. It is a botanical that Native Americans historically used for healing burns. Fireweed is naturally rich in antioxidants, vitamin A, and vitamin C to nourish and protect your skin as it cleanses.
Arnica is an herb known for its ability to reduce redness, puffiness, and dark circles while promoting healing and managing bacteria. It’s the perfect skincare ingredient to help aid in acne management and is ideal for a pre-shave cleanse. Yarrow and geranium are gentle antibacterial botanicals that play well with sensitive skin.
Soothing and Balancing Ingredients
Soothing and balancing ingredients are intended to help your skin regulate itself. Ideally, your skin should be creating the perfect amount of oil to keep itself sufficiently protected. Too little oil can lead to dry skin, and the overproduction of oil can lead to oily or breakout-prone skin.

What’s Not In The Bottle of the Clean Slate
We’ve eliminated subpar, toxic, or damaging ingredients. In fact, there aren’t any in the bottle.
Every bottle contains active botanicals designed to benefit your skin. There are no fillers or synthetic ingredients in our cleanser. We’ve eliminated:
